The Business: |
A motorcycle rider training school |
| The
Requirement: |
To encourage more repeat business from their
existing customer base and to make-over the company
website whilst allowing the company to retain control of
it |
| The
Solution: |
Understanding motorcycle riders to be passionate
about their bikes and all thing bike related, Exploit-IT
overhauled the website and built an online community.
Here, past training school pupils and local enthusiasts
could meet to discuss their interests, offer items for
sale, or organise local meeting and ride-outs. This
enables the business owner to spot any training
opportunities (e.g. bad weather riding refresher course
in the Autumn), advertise any courses that have places
available, as well as organise trips to larger race
meets or events.
The website was also equipped with a 'Hall of Fame', to
advertise test pass successes, which alongside the
online community, also encourages people to return to
the website.
The final phase was to train the business owner in being
able to maintain the various aspects of the new website,
thereby returning control of the company's online
presence back to the company. |
The Business: |
An international pharmaceutical manufacturer |
| The
Requirement: |
To regain financial control of promotional financial
commitments made by the UK sales team |
| The
Solution: |
Working for the Financial Director and alongside the
UK Sales Manager, Exploit-IT helped analyse the
promotional process and paperwork and delivered a MS
Access application to simulate the paper-based system.
This gave 2 very important business wins:
- By replicating the paper forms within the
application, the training of the administrators was
kept to minimum, as the application was very
intuitive.
- The MS Access database was accessible from other
MS Office tools, such as MS Excel, which meant that
report preparation time for board meetings was
minimised.
Within the first 2 weeks of the application's use,
the business recovered in excess of £200,000 in
financial commitments made and was better able to plan
the cash-flow and manufacturing forecasting accordingly.
